Julius (bookseeker007) | 23 comments I thought it would be interesting to ask this question; it would be good to find out what form different people like to use when shaping their own work. So to all out there, what is your favorite writing style?

T. Johnston That's a good question Julius. This should help the writers in the group to think about their writing.

Julius (bookseeker007) | 23 comments I myself prefer a more classical style, likened unto Tolkien or Richard Adams. I love being able to paint a vision in a person's mind rather than using some quick way around what could be a masterfuly told tale.

I haven’t read any of Tolkien or Richard Adams novels myself but I can only guess their written in a similar way to Raymond E. Feist (if not… my mistake). Anyway I love the way Raymond E. Feist tells his stories, the way he describes things and gives you a real clear picture as if you were there in the story yourself and make you feel the main characters pain, happiness, love, hate ec cetera. I find novels written like that much more enjoyable then the ones that don’t capture that same kind of… essence I guess you can say.
