I haven’t read any of Tolkien or Richard Adams novels myself but I can only guess their written in a similar way to Raymond E. Feist (if not… my mistake). Anyway I love the way Raymond E. Feist tells his stories, the way he describes things and gives you a real clear picture as if you were there in the story yourself and make you feel the main characters pain, happiness, love, hate ec cetera. I find novels written like that much more enjoyable then the ones that don’t capture that same kind of… essence I guess you can say.
