Yup, this is the place to find a buddy. When you do find a buddy, you can go ahead and start your own discussion thread in which you can talk about your book with your buddy (or buddies!:D). When creating your thread, be sure to place it into the Buddy Reads folder so that the Book Discussions folder doesn't get too cluttered and confusing.

Thanks!!:)

Little Bee (littlebeesreads) I would be interested in a buddy read if others are. I am up for almost any type of book :)

message 3: by Jared (new)

Jared Cook | 283 comments I'm down for a buddy what wants to read perhaps some Dickens, I'd settle for a Dickens suggestion...

I read David Copperfield and Great Expectations. My mother has read Oliver Twist, and she loved it! She is not of a bookworm, so if she liked - especially being a classic - then I am SURE it was good. I suggest you start with the most classic Oliver Twist, and then move to Great Expectations. David Coppefield is...challenging I have to say. It doesn't capture as much. Well.. so does Great Expectation. Oh well, you choose :)

Anyone up for that?"

Little Bee (littlebeesreads) What kind of Genres do you not typically read? I typically do not read biography...I find them boring and I am never that interested in the person to really dive deep into their life, anything else, I am completely up for

message 8: by Bajen (new)

Bajen I am up for Oliver Twist! I haven't read it in ages. Jared and Asia what say you?

message 9: by Little Bee (new)

Little Bee (littlebeesreads) Sounds okay to me. Shall we compile a few books a piece and go from there?

message 10: by Little Bee (new)

Little Bee (littlebeesreads) The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller The Sisters Brothers by Patrick deWitt

I will search for more in a little bit

message 11: by Little Bee (new)

Little Bee (littlebeesreads) When you click on add book/author, a little box pops up, pick the book you want, and once you search and find the book you are looking for, at the bottom of the box it will say add link or cover

message 12: by Little Bee (new)

Little Bee (littlebeesreads) No problem! Let me know what you find :) I wasnt sure what kind of books you typically read, but it seems we read similar genres! Two of your to-reads, I have just finished reading!

I've never done a buddy read...how does it work?

Ahh, I remember my first buddy read: I was like, "Sooo...what do I do...?"

Basically, Dale, we'll start a discussion thread, work out system that determines how fast we read ([blank] chapters per day) and we discuss the book as we read along:)
