Miss Ryoko (missryoko) | 349 comments Hey Kyle you know you could set up a poll for this instead of doing it as a discussion thread. It'd be easier for you because you wouldn't have to count the votes. Just thought I'd mention that. And my vote:

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

message 4: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 20, 2012 04:08AM) (new)

I like the sound of both, but I'll go for Miss Peregrine's because it's not as well known. (See? Not just because it has my 'name' in the title!)
;)

EDIT: Having said that though, all the top reviews haven't given such a great rating. So maybe Perks of Being a Wallflower would be a better choice.
Sorry! I'm so indecisive.

Never judge a book until you have read it yourself. You don't know how many times I've read books that had low ratings that I found absolutely delightful (or vice versa...books that had really high ratings that I found dreadfully awful *cough* 50 Shades of Grey *cough*) So you should choose the book based on if the story sounds like something you'd like to read, not by the ratings :-)

It just makes me sad how many people I see on GR that refuse to read books because either 1) The book is too popular or 2) The book has low ratings. Every book is going to have high and low ratings (and just because a book is popular doesn't mean that it isn't good - though sometimes, that does hold true). You never know when you're missing out on something that could be truly spectacular.

Anyway, I digress. Basically, vote for the one you think sounds most interesting to you (and I'm not just saying that cuz I voted for Miss Peregrine's ;-) )
