"This book isn't as interesting as Unbroken. I think that because Unbroken was so good, this kind of pales in its shadow. Plus, I am more interested in World War 2 than horse jockeys. Moreover, I could actually understand what was happening because I had been studying the war in school, so I was more engaged." Apr 19, 2021 10:49AM

“Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us.”

“You are too generous to trifle with me. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes are unchanged; but one word from you will silence me on this subject for ever.”
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
