"It’s interesting to see a different approach and style to writing about the events from other authors and podcasters I follow. I noticed a couple minor historical inaccuracies (calling Elizabeth Woodville a commoner, for example) but this book was published in 1995 so that could be part of it. Thus far it’s interesting; giving more background about England as a whole, the setting and economy, which is nice to know." — Aug 31, 2025 02:20PM

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”
