Gross.

it's a bit crazy how he doesn't even see anything weird in this and just says these things. true, he is a dinosaur who was born in 20s. and yes, this is as old as time, I mean Genji from tale of Genji picked a 10 year old he liked to raise and shape her into the woman he wanted, it's nothing new.
I am currently reading his book and at first I loved it, so much so that I wanted to find out more about him. The book and the chatracter are snobby but I thought he was making fun of it for a second. After reading his interview, god he is such an unpleasant hateful full of himself specimen, and now that I know it, I can't unsee it in the book I am reading. Every sentence is brimming with misanthropy and unpleasantness. It becomes a very unpleasant experience.

Ignorance is bliss sometimes!

I wanted to say always, but then sometimes I don't like a book and adore the person who wrote it, and it makes me try harder. I loved Philip Pullman in his interviews, and I adored Eudora Welty in the only interview I've seen with her, so I want to find a way to love her short story collection now! But most of the times, yeah, ignorance is bliss

I make it a point to avoid finding out anything personal about the authors I love.
