Thanks for noticing Fred. It is a bit of a departure for me.
Every now and then, I like to look for older books that have a big following and try them for myself. This was mentioned on a YouTube channel I watch and I just thought, "yeah, I should give that a try."
I remember being board with the movie when it came out, and I have no interest in the latest TV adaptation. The book is pretty good, though. It is very evenly paced and quite slow, but definitely interesting.

No, never read any of her books. I think it was the romance that kept me away back then.

No romance in this book, Fred. At least, no love story. Perhaps a romantic overview of themes, but that's it.
