I tell my creative writing students to try using words other than said in their dialogue tags... this person obviously was never in my class. I don't know if the fun banter is going to get me through this-- and I love fun banter.

I'm not very sure how I feel about this. The writing is not hitting well for me right off the bat. The plot and characters are fine to start. I feel like the 3rd person pov is not a great choice. I will continue before deciding because I see potential.
