I’m intrigued after one chapter. Bennett’s writing is crisp and fluid and sparky, and the world he’s created feels original, at least in the early going.

Sigurd's one of the main characters in the second book in the series. Bennett's world-building is just incredible, I thought. Some of the best around.

I agree that his world-building is great. I’m just so pleased that his character work is as strong as it is, and that his writing is crisp and vivid in support of all of it.
