I’m having a lot of problems with this book, but I don’t want to know if I’m the crazy one or if others agree until I’m finished and have my review written.

‘I’d seen it from the NKPD central precinct, but not up close—I never wanted to. Maybe it was the warts peppering its bright red cap, or the ridges of its gills. Could have been the way its veil billowed on a windy day, enveloping the gargantuan stem like an undulating dress.’
