Ok.
I have a MASSIVE shaded balcony (about the size of some Houston area 1 bed room apartment living rooms) that overlooks a small Koi pond and a great, sprawling oak that has to be a couple of years old.
Needless to say, I LOVE to sit on said balcony and write.

Es Fin!
Now I need to let it stew for awhile before I reread and edit. However, I'm extremely happy with it.
It is a fitting and most poetic end to my creepy, campy little creation.

I've finally started back writing again.
Being a kind of all or nothing girl, I've only 3 more chapters until it's finished.
Maybe within the next week I'll do them. Maybe not.
Whatever the case, Its a week or so of letting it stew before I reread it and edit.

Ok. So there has been a TON going on in the real world. Though I wish I was at a level as an author where all I had to do was write and collect royalties, I'm nowhere near that point.
Though this title is finished in my brain, it's unlikely I will have it ready for release until February or March.
Always writing even when I'm not actually writing.

Break time!
One of the things that makes my characters' thoughts and feelings so realistic is that I actually have to feel them myself to write them. It's like my characters are real people reacting to situations & I see/feel everything from their point of view.
This can be challenging and I have to be in the right mood/frame of mind to go there - especially to some of the darker places.Today is such a day

Back at work!
Hopefully another week or two before the 1st draft is completed.

All's quiet outside today - save the rush of water that flows over the small rock waterfall that terminates at the koi pond.
I'd say maybe another 10-15 more chapters to go.
I hope. (gulp)

Well, this morning, just as I was about to start work, every lawn worker in the area decided to do the same.
So now there are 200 leaf blowers, 150 lawnmowers & 59 edgers going full blast right about now - which has excited the cicada who in turn added their agitated chorus to the lawn care orchestra.
Ah, what can you do? (laugh) Besides have a drink (nonalcoholic of course) and screw around online.

The aforementioned scene will not get its own chapter, after all.
I just have too much I want to put into this book as it stands - even without it.
I will say though that I think I might be having much too much fun with this final installment.
The petty, malicious, backstabbing rivalry and constant one-upmanship of the two griffins is a hoot!

Hhhmmm.
I have one scene that has me a bit vexed. I can't seem to decide on if it would add more to the story if I wrote it out as its own chapter or if Acadea merely referred to it in passing in a subsequent chapter.
Decisions. Decisions.
