Oof. Wasn’t the whole purpose of this site made for the expression of one’s opinions?

If you consider the number of reviewers who use 'S' and 'F' words, not to mention titles that contain those words, I don't see what anybody could object to in your review. Mark them down as rabble-rousing trolls. If GR listens to them it only serves to highlight thier gestapo outlook.

Although I’m not a fan of profanity, I totally support GR members to freely express their opinions. GR members are also free to choose which reviews to read and which to skip. So keep writing your honest reviews, Sam!

What a load of bullshit to ban you for that! The review is crap, of course, but it makes me immediately want to read this new Posy Simmonds -- so what's those people's problem?

I agree it is an honest review, and also it made me try to order the book right away (I live in Chicago where no library system yet has it, alas) to see what the fuss is all about.

I had no idea she wrote adult books. I was only aware of her as the author of picture books.

First, I distinctly remember having read a post from Otis, that clearly said that swearing is allowed in reviews, so... what's this person whining about. Heck, I had to read your review twice, to find the curse words.

Second, Stephen Fry puts it best: "I haven't met anyone who's truly shocked at swearing. Really. They're only shocked on behalf of other people."
