I saw the movie a couple of years ago, so I know how the book ends. Which brings its own pleasures; instead of hurrying along to find out what happens, I can take my sweet time, ferreting out the metaphors, symbolism, clues and foreshadowing. At 4/5 of the way through, I've had enough of the castaway/survivalist aspect of the story. Looking forward to the goosebumps at the end.
