Sorry, never received a notification that I had a question pending. Had this idea for a long time. It was inspired by a dream, and the story is my attempt to explain what was happening. I rarely remember dreams, so when I do, it's usually important for me to try and figure out why. Thanks for asking!

There is a Converse family story of one of my ancestors in Michigan marrying a Native American woman and bringing her back to "civilization." She had a son, and her tribe took him to raise him as a Native American. She struck out alone, on foot, to get him back. She travelled through the wilds of Michigan to her tribe and begged for her son, who was finally returned to her. She came back to live with my family. The mystery is if this story is actually true. Since I have no real connection to that side of my family, finding out has been difficult.
