Nope. I've had to end the series with NO ORDINARY DUCHESS. I'm truly sorry.

(view spoiler)[Hi!! I'm loving your Greycourt series! I don't know if you can tell us that, but how many books will this series have? And is Ranulf and/or Julian also going to get their own book? I am very curious to know what happened on the fateful day of Aurelia's death. I can't wait for the sequel! :) (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Hi Raissa!
I hope to have at least six books in the series. I'm working on Julian's book (No Ordinary Duchess) right now and have plans for Ranulf. Keep reading! ;-) (hide spoiler)]

Yup! All the fairy tales at the beginning of each chapter in my books are written by me...although some are inspired by existing fairy tales or myths.

No, I'm afraid not. I'm busy enough with my new books!

Well, I do write virgins, but there's only so many first time scenes I can write before it gets very, very boring.
I do prefer experienced ladies because then the sex isn't "THAT'S a penis?!" and can be more nuanced.

Well, there was the Hellfire Clubs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellfir... which were considered quite scandalous during their time. However, they were scandalous mostly for blasphemy rather than sexual behavior, and the members probably thought themselves much more shocking than they actually were.

No. Not writing Bennet Granville (or Will for those Will fans) because I wrote The Leopard Prince *checks notes* even longer ago than I thought and would have to READ MY OWN BOOK without the ability to make changes. *shudder*

1. Only if you want to read it in order. You lose a few surprises and reveals if you read out of order but those that do don't seem to mind.
2. NO. M/M is one of my escapist reads! If I wrote it, I'd lose my escapism and we ALL need that now.

Nope. Poor Peaches and Joseph T. have been on hiatus while I finished When a Rogue Meets His Match. I hope to post a new missive in my April newsletter.
And for those interested, I'm writing Once Upon a Missive, a Maiden Lane novella, exclusively for my newsletter subscribers. Be sure to sign up if you'd like to read: https://www.elizabethhoyt.com/

Oh at least half a dozen I think. ;-) If you haven't read it already, here's a free epilogue: https://www.elizabethhoyt.com/books/e...

Wow! Good spot! Yup, Serse was one of several of Handel's operas featuring a castrato singer. While writing Scandalous Desires I listened to Serse, Aggrippina, and Partenope sung by modern counter tenors. Gorgeous!

I'm writing Joseph and Peach's story (although I'm terribly behind) for my newsletter readers. It's called Once Upon a Missive. Sign up for the newsletter and you can read it too!

Ooo! Good question. I'd kind of like Jason Momoa for Edward even though he's waaaay too pretty. But imagine him in reading glasses! Have you seen the Mortal Engines film? The lead actress, Hera Hilmar has the kind of everydayness of Anna plus she's pretty kickass.

I'm afraid I've moved on from the Princes Trilogy, Ashton. I won't be writing any more books or novellas for them.

Yes! That's Theirry Pepin and he has a lovely smile which, unfortunately, we really couldn't use for Raphael.

Oh, I LOVED A Charm of Magpies! But one of the reasons I'm on something of a m/m kick right now is because it provides lovely reading escapism for me. If I actually WROTE the stuff it probably wouldn't. So for now I'm going to only have m/m subplots in my books.

Now that you mention it I think I might remember something like that. But I’d have to reread it to be sure.

Oh, my goodness, yes: STOP READING ABOUT THE INDUSTRY! Yes, it's a good idea for writers to know about the publishing industry, but NOT if it's killing your muse. The same, by the way, goes for social media, conventions, book-signings....really anything that stops you from writing. Here's three things to think about:
1. Other writers are not your competition. Your writing will be completely different from any other person's. You are competing (if you're competing) against yourself.
2. 96% of manuscripts may or may not be rejected, but that has absolutely no bearing on you and your writing. Also? If you don't finish a manuscript you are 100% guaranteed not to be published.
3. Write what gives you joy.

(view spoiler)[Just finished Once upon a Christmas Eve...does that mean the end of Maiden Lane? (also I thought that Clara was Godric's wife and not the mother of Sarah, Charlotte and Jane?)
What will I do without another maiden lane to look forward to? This book series has had me hooked for years and am honestly so upset it has ended :'( (hide spoiler)]

Hi Nayomi,
First I'm so glad that you've enjoyed the Maiden Lane series! Second, yes, Clara was Godric's first wife. Charlotte is the name of Charlotte & Jane's mother. If I have in in the novella as Clara, then I made a mistake. Mea culpa! And finally, I am working on a new book series that I'm very excited about. I hope you'll like it too.
