Elizabeth Hoyt Well, there was the Hellfire Clubs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellfir... which were considered quite scandalous during their time. However, they were scandalous mostly for blasphemy rather than sexual behavior, and the members probably thought themselves much more shocking than they actually were.

Ah, seems like all the questons I had are already on here! But thanks so much for taking the time to answer them. I absolutely love your Maiden Lane series because of how relatable and real the character emotions are and also the grittiness, I think it really reflects the time period well. If I had one question about them it would be how do you choose the chapter intros that match the stories? They are just perfect!
