I do put my life experiences in my books. What's the old advice, write what you know? I think all authors put their experiences in their books whether they do it intentionally or not. In some cases, as in THE SWEETHEARTS' KNITTING CLUB, I learned to knit while writing the book.

The holiday plays a big part but it is not a typical feel-good read. I cover a lot of dark topics in that one, although things are good by the end. If you're looking for cheery, skip this one.

Hi Jennifer, great question! My father influenced me the most. He was a journalist and read to me when I was a kid. He taught me to love books.
