Augh! The intimidating white piece of paper that stares at you.
"Write something on it." The voices in my head bully me.
I deal with writers block the same way you deal with any bully. You confront it. You stand up for yourself and in this case I do so by forcing myself to write.
When that doesn't work I do other things that help me loosen up my pen. I will work out, draw, start or finish a painting, meditate.
One thing I noticed about writers block is that it is very psychological. I will "freeze up" on writing when I am close to finishing a piece like a novel. Like I am afraid of letting go, having something completed, it not being good enough or other yet undiscovered ghosts in the closet that stop me from writing. In order to counter that, I noticed that by relaxing with a different pleasurable activity I can get my groove back.

This is tough to answer because there is no real logic in fantasy. Many of my thoughts and ideas are inspired by my dreams. When I wake up I remember my dreams and I try to interpret them. I also tend to write late at night or early morning when I am close to sleep mode. This makes my writing a pain to edit later, though!
I also read a lot of non-fiction like: science, religion, history, arts, etc, that also in conjunction with random daily events add to my inspiration.
I like fantasy because it is like a dream and it lends itself to say things that are both literal and figurative and allow the reader to figure out which meaning they prefer.

I am working on a story that is related to "Incorrigible," even though it doesn't have the same characters and it is not a sequel to this story. So far it has a prequel and it describes what happened to the "people of light" after they survived a catastrophe. It uncovers more about the myth of the diamond you can hold with two hands and its legendary path of power and destruction.
The main theme of the story is about taking risks. What happens when you let go of all material aspects and just have faith that starting over is gonna work out.

I was having coffee with a friend. He is a single male in his forties. We both observed an old man looking at me. I asked him if he thought it was ok to be a dirty old man. His response:
"Sure why not. I'll be old. What do I have to lose!" We both laughed.
"So being old gives you license to stare at young women and be creepy?"
He raised his shoulders as if to say, who cares. I shook my head.
