Hi Alice! My idea for a follow-up to Lies Like Wildfire would be an adult book, not a YA book, so I'm not sure how that would work yet.
I don't have any say in a series or movie! There are irons in the fire, but nothing to announce yet. Keep your fingers crossed!!
Thanks for asking and for reading :) Jennifer

Hello, and thank you for reading!! I currently don't have a follow-up book planned. If I do later, I'll post on Instagram. Thanks!

Hi there and thank you so much! I don't have a plan to write that book at the moment (but love the idea!). However--I should have some exciting news about Friends Like These soon. I also wrote a new stand-alone thriller (set in Alaska) and will also have news on that. Stay tuned!!

I think you're asking where the idea came from. I'll tell you! I was driving my child home from a soccer game and daydreaming (as one does). The sky was big that day and layered in gradient shades of blue. A flock of geese flew overhead, but I saw a herd of flying horses.
I immediately knew three things: They were wild pegasi; they were migrating south for winter; and the one in the back was struggling to keep up because she was pregnant with a very special foal. Bam! Inspiration! I started writing as soon as I got home. I wrote the book in twenty days. Actually, the book wrote me! Best experience of my life.
Soon after, I got my first literary agent and then quickly sold the book in a four-book deal to HarperCollins Children's Books. Then I sold a trilogy called Riders of the Realm about the same wild pegasi and the human clan that attempts to capture them.
Now my pegasi fly across readers' minds all around the world. Dreams do come true!

I'm sorry I didn't see this question sooner! I have a new YA thriller coming out in 2025 (I know, that's still a bit on the horizon). It's set in Alaska, I can tell you that. No title yet, but I'll be sharing news as I can. Thanks for asking!

I 100 percent agree! There are no plans for a movie right now. I wish it were up to me. If it were, the movie would be EPIC!

Hello Athena! I would love to write more in the series but it's also up to my publisher. They aren't currently asking for more books. Alas! If things change, I will absolutely post about it. Thanks for asking!

(view spoiler)[I have a question regarding the short story in the back of Windborn. It says that Skyblaze and Willowsun and some others escaped the Landwalkers, but it didn't say where. Is there a chance that they escaped to the territory past the Southern Mountains where Storm Herd is planning to settle?(I have this whole fan-fiction planned out based off this. It's called A New Beginning. This is Thunderblaze from the MB, btw :D) (hide spoiler)]

Hello! This is a great question. Yes, a group escaped! If you want to know more, I wrote a series that answers your question. It's called Riders of the Realm. It's a trilogy and the first one it titled: Riders of the Realm, Across the Dark Water. It takes place right after Windborn and follows Echofrost and Hazelwind. Secrets, past and present, are revealed!
I apologize for the delay in answering your question. I forgot to check this page to see if I had any!

Hi there, this is a great question! Their coloring was intentional but not specifically planned so that they'd be opposites. Thanks for asking and I'm glad you're enjoying the website!

Hi Matt! I am so sorry I didn't see your question until now. Ugh, my bad! The good news is that Friends Like These is out now in stores and libraries.
Thank you for reading Lies Like Wildfire, I am thrilled that you enjoyed it so much :) I'm finishing a new thriller now that I hope will be out in a year or so. It's another thriller, this one set in Alaska!

(view spoiler)[Thank you! I would love to publish The Rise of Nightwing. There is a lot that goes into writing new books that is in my publisher's control, not mine. The super secret information was revealed in the ROTR trilogy. It was regarding Bumblewind and Dewberry! (hide spoiler)]
