Jennifer Lynn Alvarez Hello! This is a great question. Yes, a group escaped! If you want to know more, I wrote a series that answers your question. It's called Riders of the Realm. It's a trilogy and the first one it titled: Riders of the Realm, Across the Dark Water. It takes place right after Windborn and follows Echofrost and Hazelwind. Secrets, past and present, are revealed!
