The audiobook version had an updated contract so it came down and went back up again as a "new" project but was in fact the same item. You didn't miss anything. Though I do miss all those original audiobook reviews! If you listened in audio and have time to leave a review it would be much appreciated.

You didn't miss out. The only other linking book between the series is Agent of Time featuring Stella York. That novella sets up her presence in Greyson's story but is not essential to understand the setup. Greyson's story is revealed little by little, almost in reverse order with the 4th book of the series, Tomorrow Detective, revealing the most about his backstory.

I aim to publish at least a book a year. Lately that means finishing a draft in 9 months or so, then several months to edit and publish. I hope to get faster and publish more books in upcoming years.

I originally named Troy McClure after two separate people but thought it would be fun to combine them. I am a Simpson's fan and knew that it would bring up that reference. Sad I didn't have a place for Homer's time-traveling toaster :)

Thanks for writing. Sorry about the delay in responding. I had quite a few motivations to write In Times Like These, but it was mostly because I wanted to invent a system of time travel that made sense with the way I understood time. I also wanted to deal with space and account for the fact that we are constantly moving. On top of that I wanted to write an adventure story where time travel wasn't just a way to get a character to a different time once or twice, but it was able to be used constantly to solve problems and influence your life. It's been a lot of fun to imagine and create. So glad you've enjoyed it!

Hey Doug! Good news. Audio books for In Times Like These and The Day After Never are both in production. ITLT is going to be out within a couple weeks and TDAN should be soon after, maybe by the end of September. So glad you enjoyed The Chronothon. I enjoyed hearing it come to life myself!

I definitely enjoy putting Dr. Who references into the books. Recently wrote a couple into book 3. The hot air balloon in ITLT was actually not a Dr. Who reference but have to agree that a balloon makes an excellent pseudo T.A.R.D.I.S.
