Loved "in times like these", I'm starting book 2 right now. Narrator choice was also very good. I've loved time travel since I was 9 (almost since 30 years ago) so I read, and watched, a lot of stories with it somehow involved; and I gotta say, this book handled everything the best. I loved the mechanics, and that everything is consistent throughout the entire book. Will the second book hold up? let's see!

I'm really enjoying the first book in the "In Times Like These" series! I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, so I found the "Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey" reference to be pretty delightful, and I was wondering if the hot air balloon was another Doctor Who reference (I'm thinking of the episode called "The Next Doctor, where the guy thinks he's the Doctor and his TARDIS turns out to be a hot air balloon)?
