Steph Nuss The in death series by JD Robb that’s set in 2056 NYC. I’d help Eve Dallas solve crimes.
Steph Nuss Eve and Roarke from JD Robb's In Dearh series because they share this strong, supportive, honest love that is undeniable, like they were made for one another. They came from terrible pasts and found love in one another, and it's a love that continuously flows throughout the series and not just through erotic scenes but the little efforts and sacrifices they make for each other. Eve and Roarke FOREVER!
Steph Nuss I still feel like I'm a first time writer myself, but my best advice is to write what you want to read. When you write something you want to read, there's a good chance others are going to want to read it, too. It will also make the review process feel less stressful, when you read that first negative review (we all get them), it won't feel like such a big blow to your writing ego because you know you stayed true to yourself, your characters and their story. Creating character profiles for your characters will also make it easier to write their stories, when you have a background for them and separate them from other people you may or may not know; it's a way to bring their personalities to fictional life. I like using this character profile for my writing and it's helped me tremendously: http://www.epiguide.com/ep101/writing...
Another tidbit I like to tell first time writers is to be as active as you possibly can be on social media, get your name out there even before your book is released, use the help of book blogs, and don't be afraid to ask for help from other authors, readers, and book blogs. If you're self-publishing, the indie community is filled with very supportive individuals, so as long as your active in a positive manner, it's a great way to get yourself and your work out there for readers to check out! :)
Steph Nuss Hey, Victoria! I haven't started writing it yet, so once I get that going after the release of Challenged By You, I'll have a better idea of when it will release. I'm hoping early next year, but I haven't nailed down a definite release date for Inspired By You yet! Thank you for asking! I'm very excited to get started on it! :)
Steph Nuss I wish I had a definite date to give you, but I don't! I promise when I do know the release date, I will post it all over the place! I am working on book three, and I'm hoping to have it out later this year or no later than the start of next year. :)
Steph Nuss They have to be likable. The guys in my Love in the City series all have different qualities that I love, but they all have one thing in common: they are likable. They're the guys you want as your brother, your best guy friend, or your boyfriend. I like that my guys all have different qualities because it makes me fall in love with each of them as I write them. For example, I loved Carter in WBY, and I didn't even think it was possible for me to love any of my guy characters more than him, but while writing FBY, Maverick totally took Carter's place in my heart. I really just try to write men women want to be around, whether it's just hanging out at the bar after work as friends or going on a date with them as potential love interests. I love my guys, and I could spend hours going on and on about what I love about each of them, but what I love the most about all of them is that they're likable. I know you're probably thinking, why not lovable? And the reason being is that everyone has different qualities they love in a man, but almost everyone loves the guy who is likable.
Steph Nuss There are a lot of things I love about being a writer. Just being able to hang out with characters I love and tell their stories is so much fun, but I'd have to say the best thing about being a writer is the feedback from the readers. I love hearing what readers think of my book, even if they didn't like it. I'm a huge fan of honesty, and when I reader goes into detail about the things they loved and/or hated about my books, it brings a smile to my face knowing my words affected them in some way.
Steph Nuss 1. Don't ever give up. If you want to write a story, write it. It takes a lot of courage to write something and put it out there for the rest of the world to read and criticize. And you will be criticized, don't for one second think you won't be, but just remember to take each criticism and grow from it because it will only make you a better writer and an even better person.

2. Have faith and believe in yourself. Never listen to the people who say you can't follow your dreams. A lot of people think writing is like taking a poop: you just sit down and it happens. But that's definitely not the case. Stay determined and stay true to yourself and you will be the writer you've always dreamed of becoming.
Steph Nuss I write what I love to read. I love series, and I love when the secondary characters get their own stories. So, that's what I write. I also write what I like to watch on TV. I'm a huge fan of Friends and Sex and the City, so I like writing characters who make you feel like you're part of their group of friends, characters you can relate to.
Steph Nuss Love in the City, #3! Bayler and Fletcher's story!
Steph Nuss I don't really think I suffer from "writer's block" more like "writer's procrastination." And when that happens, I just take my dog on a walk, listen to some music, and then I'm usually inspired to get my ass in gear and write.
