Indu asked Steph Nuss:

How do you think up your male protagonists? Any must have qualities?

Steph Nuss They have to be likable. The guys in my Love in the City series all have different qualities that I love, but they all have one thing in common: they are likable. They're the guys you want as your brother, your best guy friend, or your boyfriend. I like that my guys all have different qualities because it makes me fall in love with each of them as I write them. For example, I loved Carter in WBY, and I didn't even think it was possible for me to love any of my guy characters more than him, but while writing FBY, Maverick totally took Carter's place in my heart. I really just try to write men women want to be around, whether it's just hanging out at the bar after work as friends or going on a date with them as potential love interests. I love my guys, and I could spend hours going on and on about what I love about each of them, but what I love the most about all of them is that they're likable. I know you're probably thinking, why not lovable? And the reason being is that everyone has different qualities they love in a man, but almost everyone loves the guy who is likable.
