This contemporary novel seems very real. It opens with a hint of the disconcerting capabilities of advanced technology.

The lead character, Danny, has lost everything, but that’s not the only issue he’s confronting. There’s an enigmatic group, investigating Danny with an extraordinary telepathic ability, placing him in awkward predicaments, presenting a constant challenge with a potpourri of head games and programs, as he tries to adapt to the prying eyes that hold him captive.

Shifting back and forth over the previous three years, we meet the mind reading players, who have turned Danny inside out. The questions persist, Who are you and what do you want with me?

Danny decides to keep a record of his three year experience by writing a novel. What’s surprising, are they actually going to help him write the story?

Despite the pranks and programs, a spark of playful romance arises. When all else fails, turn on the charm and entice your enemy, but has Danny been taken for a ride by two crafty women and their friends. They don’t always play nice. They can be deceptive, mischievous, and terrorizing, laced with a seasoned sense of humor.

I loved the exchanges between Danny, Katherine, and Marcie. Even when Danny is raked over the coals the sparring is clever and well designed.

The major theme running throughout is, what would life be like under twenty-four a day telepathic and video surveillance? The author handles this element remarkably well. The Mind Game Company characters are effective and believable.

An enjoyable story presenting a number of situations, I found thought provoking and informative. It wasn't at all what I was expecting...uniquely original!

Amazing debut novel!
