Artist Temperament or Something We all Contend With
If you took the time to read artists’ biographies, be they writers, musicians, 2D & 3D artists, what have you, you’d find that most have crazy neurotic tendencies. I find it adds a bit of interest to their life stories and works and it’s a relief to know, you not the only one who exhibits quirky behavior.
There are times I wish I had an edit button to rearrange some previous episodes, those I’ve rated lower than the critics. Not to worry, you can find something of value in anything; perhaps you can trade war stories after it’s assimilated and less painful and laugh about it. Something a friend shared with me yesterday as a matter of fact, which prompted me to respond with a similar situation.
We can present a picture-perfect persona, but what if we had telepathic technology, what would we find inside your personal mind game?

Why Not
Excerpt
Glancing through the sliding glass doors in the family room, I see our skillfully adept, undersized tortoiseshell ally cat on the back porch, waiting at the door. “Hey Hussy, ‘you hungry?” She makes her way to the food bowl while I slide the door closed behind her. As I turn around, I’m looking at my favorite maple rocking chair, which I refinished, my first attempt at upholstering several years back. The deep blue velvet-like fabric with thin gold diamonds was now being used as a cat-scratch. Such is life. How did my parents survive our rambunctious childhood years?
Broken, shattered, dinged and dented, stained, burned, and torn keepsakes, all the collateral damage. The electronic equipment is nestled inside an armoire. I return to the couch to finish my breakfast, now cold, and turn on the cable soundscapes station.

Don't ask me how it fits - I'm listening to Aaron Copeland

State of Rhode Island – 2017_H 6011
Geoengineering law – making progress. Sometimes it takes the smallest U.S.State to get the ball rolling. I’d love to see every state in the union follow RI’s lead; along with every nation on the globe. We all have a vested interest in the planet and the methods employed for countering global warming.

$500,000 per day per infraction under a 90 day license could add up quickly and provide a major deterrent.
My pleasure ... pass it on.

Telepathic Potential
The following is a quote from Mark Zuckerberg on FB 2015
"One day, I believe we'll be able to send full rich thoughts to each other directly using technology. You'll just be able to think of something and your friends will immediately be able to experience it too if you'd like. This would be the ultimate communication technology."
So... Zuckerberg wants to experience a telepathic connection. I assume he wants to sit in the control tower hidden from view, rather than willingly place himself in the target’s position.
Every nation and corporation with the capacity is trying to develop telepathy technology!
Albeit; in a private setting it might be an amazing experience with an interested group of adults on a level playing field – with each participant giving informed consent and a choice of opting out at any time, if it’s not their cup of tea! The 10 Tenants of the Nuremberg Code should be a mandatory requirement! That being said:
This novel is an exposition of the multi-faceted world of telepathy and it’s potential from the captive’s vantage point.
Excerpt from The Mind Game Company - The Players
Marcie: Are we all connected, something that song was suggesting?
Danny: There are 7 billion people on the planet, so I don’t know what he was implying.
However, if you can connect with me, you can connect with anyone, but probably not everyone at the same time.
Marcie: Is there anyone you would like to be connected with?
Danny: I’m thinking...
If your ability is rooted in telepathic technology, then somewhere down the road, you could create a user’s party line while monitoring everything from control central. You might get a mobile device company interested with the ultimate in wireless communications, but don’t forget the informed consent.
Just think, blanket the entire country with a mind to mind frequency network. May as well make use of those antiquated GWEN towers. I suppose each person would have their own unique brain wave pattern as a signature IP address, complete with their platinum profile. Broadcast it all from the Tower of Babel – back to when man may have had clairvoyant capabilities.
I guess it would make cell phones obsolete. You’d have to come up with a good sell program to get everyone to jump on the bandwagon before they know what hit the fan. You could call it the Infonet or Infotrap, although that might make some waves.
The proponent’s pitch – mankind must strive towards global unity. The end result – catastrophic chaos and social unrest. Just a reminder, relationships are difficult enough without mind reading, especially with someone else in the control tower. It’s difficult enough to get ten people to agree.
Marcie: Your mind is working overtime.
Danny: Well, yuh gotta be somebody. I do believe it’s possible for normal people to have a very limited ability to sense what someone feels or thinks, but it’s vague at best. There’s the occasional response to a phone call, “I was just thinking about you.”

Remove This Ad
About 4 years ago, I got tired of Mitt Romney’s ad showing up on my FB page, so I clicked to have it removed. A box appeared asking me to explain my reason.
At first, I thought, Why should I tell you anything? Well... why not?
“Because Romney is one half of the concept of: thesis - antithesis = synthesis.”
They replied, “Is this copyrighted?”
I laughed! “No, I don’t think so, Johann Fichte 1st developed the social philosophical concept - later made popular by Hegel.”
It made my day.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thesis,...
Afterwards, someone on FB wanted me to explain what I was talking about.:
The concept can be used to channel all the people into two ideologies. As I see it, we have an Oligarchy over Fabian Socialism. When either party is elected, that aspect of the agenda is promoted. There are even rival parties available, so it appears you actually have a choice, although this option is merely an effort in futility, unless the whole system is changed.
One benefit in being an Indie author is that we can voice our thoughts on fallacy and incorporate social commentary through non-fiction or a novel as a vehicle for change.

"The Mind Game Company - The Players" Amazon Review
See link to amazon at bottom
4.0 out of 5 stars Have you ever heard voices?
By Fred Waidner on July 3, 2015
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This contemporary novel seems very real. It opens with a hint of the disconcerting capabilities of advanced technology.
The lead character, Danny, has lost everything, but that’s not the only issue he’s confronting. There’s an enigmatic group, investigating Danny with an extraordinary telepathic ability, placing him in awkward predicaments, presenting a constant challenge with a potpourri of head games and programs, as he tries to adapt to the prying eyes that hold him captive.
Shifting back and forth over the previous three years, we meet the mind reading players, who have turned Danny inside out. The questions persist, Who are you and what do you want with me?
Danny decides to keep a record of his three year experience by writing a novel. What’s surprising, are they actually going to help him write the story?
Despite the pranks and programs, a spark of playful romance arises. When all else fails, turn on the charm and entice your enemy, but has Danny been taken for a ride by two crafty women and their friends. They don’t always play nice. They can be deceptive, mischievous, and terrorizing, laced with a seasoned sense of humor.
I loved the exchanges between Danny, Katherine, and Marcie. Even when Danny is raked over the coals the sparring is clever and well designed.
The major theme running throughout is, what would life be like under twenty-four a day telepathic and video surveillance? The author handles this element remarkably well. The Mind Game Company characters are effective and believable.
An enjoyable story presenting a number of situations, I found thought provoking and informative. It wasn't at all what I was expecting...uniquely original!
Amazing debut novel!

Dreams and Nightmares
3-4-10 Thursday 8:30 A.M.
I just had one of those deep and vivid dreams about working on the job from hell. It’s an old three-story Victorian in deplorable condition. The atmosphere is dark and foreboding, the people are hostile and menacing. The same reoccurring theme over the last 3 years.
I have no work, but ironically I’m subjected to working on these awful jobs in my dreams, adding insult to injury – I don’t even get paid.
When I was binge drinking and went cold turkey – feeling like my central nervous system had been soaked in caustic acid – I would have these freakish dreams. The kind where the lunatics lumber.
Lost in a dark and dank city, working on a rotting house from hell, that looked as if the local garbage truck pulled up on a ramp and dumped its load through the gaping hole in the roof. Trying to clean it up, make some repairs, and slap a coat of paint on walls.
The owner appears, a crazed stubby woman wearing an extra-large soiled pillowcase as a dress, with cutout slots for her arms and head. A distorted face with a broad forehead and cheekbones. Delirious eyes which seemed to be changing shape as if controlled by some abhorrent force. Her small lips were sputtering out high-pitched chatter, pecking away at my brain. She was incomprehensible.
And while I was working, her two little half rat, half demon dogs, were gnawing at my ankles. But to my relief, she put a leash on their choker collars and whipped them around off the ground and headed out the door. Then she got inside her rusted 1960's Volkswagen van and took off, with the dangling tailpipe screeching on the pavement, even more annoying than those little yapping pygmy demons and leaving a trail of sparks.
