She Wasn't Pretty

She wasn't pretty. She never really was. Although everyone she ever met always complimented her for the way she looks. But I never found her pretty or beautiful. She was more like a complete mess and a hardcore dreamer in the middle of chaos. She moved like a fierce wind and could stare at nothing for hours. She counted things till she reached an even number and had a heart full of stars. She made terrible mistakes and horrible choices. She preferred sitting on the floor, hated jeans and loved being taken care of. She wasn't complicated and yet she was a mystery to be solved. She broke every rule, surpassed every boundary, got hurt and wounded and yet she was walking. She was a child not ready to grow up, a mother who was not willing to give up, a wife who was trying to make things work and a lover who was more than just willing to find her lost love. No, she was not easy. She was difficult as hell but she was worth every pain. She was not the sparkling stars of the galaxy but an unknown planet yet to be found. She smiled when she soul was bleeding, she lost her loved ones and didn't get a chance to cry, she crossed oceans in search of her home and yet she faced battles which no warrior could ever fight.
If you ask me, I would say, she wasn't pretty. Pretty is quite a lame word for all she faced, fought and survived. To me, she always been like a falling star; the one which brought hope and fulfilled your wishes.
She was more like a fighting ship in the middle of the storm. The kind of beauty which could bring back life to a dead soul. She wasn't pretty. She was a drop dead gorgeous woman, fighter, lover and a dreamer... Who was she? It's you.

The first thing you need to do is relax coz your are not the first person to messed up your life and it's nothing which cannot be fixed. You need to understand one thing, at the end, we all are humans and we tend to make mistakes; sometimes they could be small but there are times when they could be devastating.

So, here's 8 ways to fix your messed up life -

8. Start Asking Right Questions- This would be your first step to start over. You have to get the basics right. You have to know what you doing and why? where it may lead you and is it all worth it? What drives you to do that thing? Just sit back and make a list of all the questions and start answering them one after another. Once you answer all the questions then go through them again and analyse whether it's really wroth doing whatever that you want to do? And if you chooses to do so then will it make any significant difference to your life in regards to what you already have right now? Coz in the end, you have to find a way or path which will help you in getting away from the present mess. So. put down the questions.

7. Kill Your Ego - Now that you already know that you have messed it up then there's no use in flaunting your ego, so get an axe and kill it. Coz what you really need right now, is lot and lot of help. And people will definitely not help you if they find you with your ego. And brace yourself to ask for 'HELP'. There's no shame in asking for help. We all need it, at some point or the other. So, best thing to do right now is to take off your ego and approach people for help.

6. Stop Assuming Beforehand - Since you have now taken off your ego then now its time to stop assuming things beforehand and taking decisions on basis of that assumptions. You don't know who might help you or don't it's not your job to decide that. As in right now, 'More the merrier' so stop assuming that certain individuals will not help you. Put this theory beside and go out and tell people that you need help.

5. Connect With Right People - You must have heard people saying that 'Surrounding Matters' and they were right coz it does. It's very important for you to be with people who understands your need and actions. There's no point in spending time with people who cannot inspire you to do anything, doesn't understands your work nature or cannot help you when you need them most. That is why, you have to find people who are like minded, join communities which deals with your work and passion. try to get in touch with people who are way lot experienced and successful as they may guide you and help you overcoming your problems. Find friends who are supportive and knows the real you. As connecting with wrong people is like throwing up stones at your own house.

4. Don't Panic - Nothing is as bad as it may seem at first glance so stop panicking coz it will only lead you to take more bad decisions. If you pay attention or reach on people who are very successful then there's one thing which you will find in every story; which is Patience. You cannot afford to panic and lose your patience, composure and intelligence all at once. These are your greatest weapons and if you lose them all, you are surely going to lose the battle and lose it badly.  SO, no matter how bad things may appear or get, keep you anti-panic mode always ON. And the other important thing which you must adapt in your lifestyle is that- THERE'S A SOLUTION TO EVERYTHING. Yes, there is. No matter how hard and impossible it may seem but if you look closely, think positively and work accordingly- then you would come with something which may help you to get out from that surrounding.

3. Let Other People Help You- This is one major problem which most people faces. You may think that you are the best person to do a thing or has the best way to do things and this is when you stop other people helping you coz you start thinking that you are to big to take any help from outside/others. There's no wrong in having people opinion's and thought over something and then you can decide what's best for you. If you look from other's perspective, then you are the only person who is gaining the most of it; as you get the best ideas and suggestions and you get to decide for the best interest. So, let other people help you so that you can help yourself.

2. Do Not Blame - If something fails then take the responsibilities and cope up with them, look for the right solutions and ways to fix it rather than start blaming others so that you can escape from what you have done. But you must know that there's no way out. You can blame  or do whatever you want but you cannot undo certain things which led you to the situation where you have to blame others. After all, it's your work, your creation, your life, your future and it's only you who can put all those broken pieces back together.

1. Take Chances- just coz you failed once, does't mean that you have to stop taking chances. Don't let your gut feeling die inside you. I'm not saying that you should start taking blind chances but at least you can take a little calculated risks so that it will always keep you ahed in your game and may help you regaining back your place and position. Coz nothing comes to those who wait and everything comes to those who know how to play and how far they can go to win the game.

There are stories which you once start reading then it's quite difficult to put them away. The pages and the time flies by at the speed of lightning but then there are also books which we want to read, feels excited about it, spends money and buys it but as soon we start reading it, nothing happens. There's no magic in the words which may takes us away from our world to their own. There's no curiosity, the characters looks empty and soulless and ultimately, we close the book before we even reaches the 'The End'. And here's the list of such books which I started but couldn't finish it.

10. The Frequent Visitor by Hari Kumar- I had great expectations from the book. Even the plot was promising and generated my interest. It had a great start and it definitely made me curious but then as I reaches half-way through, it completely loses its charm and grip. But since, i liked the beginning so much, I kept going back and tried reading it several times but I couldn't and finally I gave it up. 


9. 2 States by Chetan Bhagat - First I must admit that I watched the movie first and then attempted to read this book. As I watched the movie, everything from the word go looked 'Made up' to me. And when i started reading the book, everything looked artificial to me. I mean, when it comes to college romance - there's lot of tenderness and honesty as it's the first time for both the individuals but in the story, I never felt that way. The characters were too shinny and glittering. The situations and the surrounding were written in such a way that it may seem familiar to middle class but it never made any impact. It was hell boring and too predicted. I mean why would i read a novel where I can predict what's going to happen next? 

8. One Night @ Call Centre by Chetan Bhagat - One word - Regret. It was torturous, stupid and certainly one of worst stories which I ever came across. 


7. 50 Shades of Grey - After all the hype and publicity, I finally started reading it. One of major reason I started reading the book in the first place coz I loved the characters (from what I heard). But after few chapters, I lost the interest. It looked pale and emotionless. I was having a hard time connecting with whatever that was going in there. Ironically, the sex part was even more boring. 


6. Life or Death by Michael Robotham - Life or death is one of last year's bestseller and it's the tagline which captured my attention, "Why would a man escapes from prison the day before he's due to be released?" It's tempting, right? That's what I thought. And I am a great lover of Crime-Thriller. So I didn't gave a second thought before purchasing the book. I was quite curious and excited for this book but but as soon as i started reading the book, it changed my whole perception. The expectation fallen down like a meteor hitting the ground. All my interest got lost and curiosity vanished. But still I somehow, managed to reach half-way through but then I had to close the book for final.
