The Boy in the Gutter

I've always wanted to write a detective novel. To me, its a right of passage. I had thought about writing a book in the tradition of hard nosed private eyes like Philip Marlowe, Sam Spade, and Lew Archer.

In the end though, I chose a Chinese-American student as a protagonist. I set it in the usual spot for this genre--Los Angeles, and shifted back in time to just a few years after WW2.

Time will tell if what I wrote is any good.

It's set millions of years into the future. The oceans have dried up. Major extinctions occurred over time. Life is primitive. Powerful female protagonist with a plot that's full of action and adventure.

I'm pretty excited and I have enlisted the help of NYT bestselling authors Rebecca Hamilton and Margo Bond Collins to help me out with marketing and promotions. I have high hopes that this will be the series that I will write for the next decade.

I'm currently about 25% done with the first book in a new dystopian sci-fi series that I'm doing. Writing a bit closer to market this time as compared to my previous books. It will have a female protagonist (and a very powerful one too!)

It's sort of like STAR WARS, but with no spaceships! Stay tuned! ;)

This will be the first novel in an epic post-apocalyptic trilogy. I hope you all will like it. :)

Great news!

I wasn't expecting to publish my next novel until next year in 2016 but now it seems I am close to completing it. I'm past the 100K word count and there's a few more chapters to go including the all-important climax before I revise it then bring it to the editors. If all goes well it should be out before Christmas!

If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic epics then you will love this one!
