Red resides in the mountains of North Carolina where he has been a teacher for the last 20 years. A passion for kids, coupled with a knack for drawing has naturally led him to incorporate his sketches into lessons; captivating students with a mix of art and humor. When he is not teaching or creating books, Red can be found taking care of many animals at the Blue Heart Sanctuary, a non-profit animal rescue that he and his wife founded and operate.
