Nancy Jane was born and raised in Ontario but she fell in love with all things western and made the west her home. She formed a habit of scribbling poetry on scraps of paper or jotting down short stories in notebooks when she was a very young child, but found herself spending her entire career writing technical reports about subjects that were difficult, emotionless and faceless. Now that time has passed and her habit of observing and recording has accorded her with a mountain of material that needs to be shaped and woven into stories that will touch people about things that matter.

My Elder is a fourth-generation Shaman and carrier of six sacred pipes. It took twenty-eight years to write this book; twenty-eight years of researching and reviewing, particularly regarding the many concepts and various cultural beliefs involved in reincarnation and Shamanism. I used that research to write a fiction story. As for the second part of your question, I am not sure what you mean by these people? Coming in early 2020!

I am so excited to announce that I have just completed my second book 'The Last Bull at Raymond'. This one is a mystery involving some special people and it revolves around a murder and some possible human trafficking. The story takes place in Alberta, Canada. I hope you will watch for it!
