Nancy Jane was born and raised in Ontario but she fell in love with all things western and made the west her home. She formed a habit of scribbling poetry on scraps of paper or jotting down short stories in notebooks when she was a very young child, but found herself spending her entire career writing technical reports about subjects that were difficult, emotionless and faceless. Now that time has passed and her habit of observing and recording has accorded her with a mountain of material that needs to be shaped and woven into stories that will touch people about things that matter.
