“He spoke to her, though, if only through his verse. One night in the banqueting hall, just before a ball, he responded to requests for a verse by raising his glass high. Though he spoke to them all his eyes were on her.
"Tis not that I am weary grown
Of being yours, and yours alone,
But with what face can I incline
To damn you to be only mine?"
She walked out before she heard the rest.”

“I love you, Catherine. You claimed my heart soon after we met, a beautiful Highland selkie who kept me safe within her cave. No one ever came to my rescue before. I laughed and I teased you, but I'd never been so deeply moved. While I was waiting at The Hague, I promised myself I'd tell you as soon as I saw you again." He wet a taut nipple with his tongue and blew on it gently. "It made me very happy to admit it. You're the only one I've ever truly loved." He turned his attention to the other tip, one hand plumping her as the other tickled its peak. She whimpered and he soothed her with a wet kiss. She moaned, gripping his shoulders as her heels dug in the ground. He lifted his
head and looked straight into her eyes. "I feared I'd lost you when I saw you in that river. You're the only thing that gives my life meaning, Catherine. I love you." His lips brushed the corner of her mouth. "I love you," he breathed against her lips. "I love you!" He enfolded her in his arms and
thrust his tongue deep in her mouth, claiming her in a voluptuous kiss.”

“He groaned and leaned his forehead against hers, “You drive me mad, Elizabeth. I dream I am holding you every night. I wake in a sweat, aching and disappointed. Dreams of you have replaced my nightmares, but they leave me empty and restless and my body on fire. I can't even remember why we argued. I don't care how things went wrong.”

♛♛♛ HERO TRIBUTES AND MORE! ♛♛♛
Of all the hundreds and hundreds of historical heroes I have read there are many that stand out for various reasons, some were broken, some were non-committal, some were heroic, others ruthless and some were simply unforgettable…. There are also a couple of heroes that stand out because they were loosely based on a real historic character and they authors managed to successfully blend him, the story’s hero into time with events and people that it left a lasting impression.
♛ LIBERTINE KISS ♛ by Judith James! ♛

“You are a tasty little mouse I think, Lizzy Walters. I’ve yet to decide if I shall eat you or let you go, but whatever I do, I intend to play with you first. Not tonight though, I’m afraid. I’ve matters to attend to and must be on my way.”

Queen’s Confession
When I was a little girls i was obsessed with gemstones, royalty and pretty things. My mom took me to London when I was 8 years old and for YEARS afterword’s my most treasured memories from trip (TO THIS DAY AS I JUST PICKED THEM UP LAST YEAR) was booklets about:
Queen Mary's dollhouse (has letter opener, bible, globe...)

Hero: My tortured hubby Kellan Kyle I love Thoughtless series, but Thoughtful was particularly painful retelling on Kellan's POV. It made me hate that dumbass Kiera even so much more! Stupid Kiera thought he's worthless. I think he's priceless ;) Throughout past TopPicks, I've made plenty of Kellan tributes, but the bottom line is, Kellan is special to me because he's not perfect, but he tried to be for her.
Thank you for ripping my heart out. Thank you for showing me something I can never have. Thank you for looking so beautiful this morning, it makes me want to tear my eyes out. Thank you for not seeing me as anything more than a release.
