“Union means so many millions a year lost to the South; secession means the loss of the same millions to the North. The love of money is the root of this …. The quarrel between the North and the South is, as it stands, solely a fiscal quarrel."

I was excited to see your book Deadly Catch: A Mac McClellan Mystery

"There's something to be said for service in the two Iraq wars as experience for a career in private detecting back in the U.S.A. That's the case for Mac McClellan, a recently retired career Marine who fought at Fallujah among other murderous spots.
Now he's in the Florida panhandle for the fishing, but gets caught up in local trouble involving drugs, murder, and maybe incest.
The book's sense of place seems perfect, McClellan's character grows on the reader and if the plot is almost too tangled, a not bad story lurks somewhere in the thicket."
Happy for you, my friend! Thought you might not know about this review, and wanted to pass it on.
