TODAY IS THE DAY
Mud, Rocks, Blazes: Letting Go on the Appalachian Trail is officially released!
The story of my 2015 #AppalachianTrail #FKT is chronicled in this book... And yet this story is so much more than that of putting one foot in front of the other even when the odds are stacked against (and the mud sucks them down!)
I've often been asked what accomplishment I'm most proud of.
The answer is not my PCT FKT.
The answer isn't the Calendar Year Triple Crown.
The answer isn't being named a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year.
It's the struggle that was scrambling wet rocks in the darkness, fording rivers that could kill me, learning when to wait... And when to give it everything I had.
It's overcoming the self-doubt and self-defeating beliefs that I believed to finally understand my worth.
It's the 54 days I spent with the wisdom of rocks and mud following white blazes through an ancient mountain range.
It's this story.
