Buy My Hats! (artist's edition)
Good News! As promised, I am pleased to announce that Buy My Hats! is now available as an ebook.
Check it out HERE.
I call this an artist's edition, because this eBook edition uses the original art files—before the publisher made me change the colors to the drab grays seen in the print version.
More samples HERE.

How to eBook ...
So you want to self-publish an eBook and make it available on Amazon.com?
It is surprisingly easy to do.
I have met a lot of author/illustrators at book fairs and author conferences, who, when I tell them that I am putting my out of print titles back in print digitally, and self-publishing eBooks that my traditional publishers don't have "room for on their list", they want to know how it's done.
I have been putting together a step-by-step guide to the process over HERE.
Go and use it well. If you want to thank me, you can always purchase one of my eBooks :)
The eBooks I self-publish will forever be only $2.99.
Thanks!

Duck Duck Moose on a Plane
Once upon a time, as a kids book author/illustrator, I used to be very much against eBooks.
"Who the hell wants to hand their kid a couple 'o hundred dollar device to get peanut butter all over?" I'd say. Or, "how can a teacher hold up an eBook at story time?"
But then I did some traveling and noticed that EVERYONE (even kids) were looking at iPads or Kindles.
So, I went and started making some of my out of print books available as eBooks (see my previous few blog posts). But then I had abetter more relevant idea: Why not make an eBook specifically for kids on planes?
Presenting:
Check it out HERE.

Birdbrains and Featherheads
Announcing a new book from, me. It's called Birdbrains and Featherheads.
As of now it is only available as an eBook from Amazon, but this book was specially designed (by me, also) to be an eBook, picture book: The art is deliberately minimal, with hand made art.
You can preview the whole book for free right here
Or purchase hi-res eBook HERE

eBooks on a Plane
It's a good thing I'm not running for office. Because I am about to flip-flop, big time.
eBooks: For the longest time, I've been saying ebooks won't replace traditional books. And even if they do, picture books will remain insulated.
After two recent trips by airplane—observing my fellow humans, in the wild—it is clear. The writing is on the, um... tablet? Mr. Guttenberg, we thank you for your contributions, but sadly, humans are moving on to eBooks. Even the kids. Especially the kids!.
So aren't I glad my favorite picture book A Monkey Among Us is already an eBook.
ALSO check out the new eBook: Birdbrains and Featherheads
ALSO the new NEW eBook (made just for kids on planes): Duck Duck Moose on a Plane
