Update

I make plans all the time. Lists of things to do. I write them down on my schedule and then feel like a failure when I look back at that schedule and none of my plans were finished. Hell, I’m usually messing up the schedule a week later. Started, abandoned, and put aside for Life. Like Sara Cannon said in a Spa Girls podcast recently — the process of making plans brings hope. Which is why we keep doing it.

But the reality, well… the reality is what it is. And that’s where the Serenity Prayer ki...

We Funded!

We did it! I am so shocked and happy. Humbled and gratified.

After having been virtually non-existence in The Eldritch Worlds since Elemental Dreams, and that was published in 2018 or so, returning to a day job and taking some much needed time to refill my Garden, to actually have funded at all is close to a miracle for me. It is inspiring, and has helped me get my rear end back in the chair (though I need to watch how that backside expands when not active).

Arcane Rising is still in the firs...

Kickstarter Ends Soon!

This has been a wild ride. Educational. And humbling! Take it from someone who burned out a few years back, returning to this beloved world and its denizens, not to mention the added prodding of Loren Coleman and especially Anthea Sharpe, I am forever grateful to those who contributed to this campaign.

The Campaign comes to a close on Thursday (I forgot I’d extended it from Tuesday to Thursday before I launched and my calendar still has Tuesday on it!). We broke 1K, which adds in Magician’s Gam...

Arcane Rising Kickstarter is live!

The Kickstarter is live. And as I’ve said on every other post: I’m so nervous I’m gonna throw up. If you are curious, click on the cover and it will take you to Kickstarter.

Back to Bell, Book, and Candle!

It took a bit of mulling over the idea of going back, but then, when I realized I was already re-reading everything and jotting down ideas every free moment… yeah, it was time to go back. Side note, though: I am not stopping the other series I have in process. This is just a pause while I spend some time in New Orleans.

At Bell, Book, and Candle!

Returning and New characters.

Because this is technically Book 10 (huge technically), this series begins 5 years after Elemental Dreams. Which mean...

Restarting…

It’s the first thing you do to your computer when it’s not working correctly.

Well, not only is my computer not working, nothing else is either. Because once the computer goes down, everything tumbles into a sandworm’s pit of void.

So… I’m restarting. We’ll see what comes out on the other side.

The Ravenwood Hills books will be removed from Kindle Unlimited in May and will be made available wide sometime in June, 2022. As to when books 3 & 4 will be published, that will depend on time and m...

Mid-Month Update

Whooo….! Things got busy! Not just with writing but with my day job! If there is one thing I’ve learned about  Retail it’s the holiday months are not your own. They belong to the job. It also messes up my holiday schedule, cause I coulda sworn we had Samhain in October, yet we had that stuff out and ready in August. o.O  Then we had Yule stuff out in October…uhm… Did we somehow decide that Gratitude Month (November) isn’t important?!

Jinkies. Anyway, my first Epic Fantasy, Dark Shame, is upload...

The Writer’s Garden 2

A Time Of Turmoil…well…one of them. Cause this shit never ends. But we do learn how to face it with grace and with determination. Always.

I started this little blog thing because I wanted to share what I’ve learned about The Writer’s Garden. But I believe, given the sketches I have on the next posts, it’s also a sort of revelation in positive thinking. I’ve always been condemned, mostly by those I care about, for being hopelessly optimistic. I’ve always known on a gut level, and because my Gra...

The Writer’s Garden 1

I killed a fake ficus tree.

No shit.

I know you’ve seen these things. Real tree base with little silk leaves glued on the branches? That’s the one. My mother decided one year that I needed something green in my duplex. So she gave me a fake tree. “Well, you can’t grow anything anyway—you didn’t get my green thumb. Might as well pretend to have something living in there.”

Somehow my cat, Akasha, wasn’t living?

So I took it home, put it in the corner of the living room beside the sliding glass ...

Revamping and Rethinking

Letting readers in on a new move…

Been doing a lot of research these past few weeks, especially since releasing the new series. Looking at numbers, sales, and comments. And looking at the market, especially for this genre of book. And truthfully, the majority of these books are moving nicely in Kindle Unlimited.

Book sales are tough these days. Being wide is no picnic, and even though KDP has screwed me out of royalties before, I am going to take a chance and move the Women’s Paranormal Fictio...
