I am delighted to announce that the audiobook for ILLBORN is going to be published at the end of March 2025!

I have listened to this in full during the production process, and I think it is absolutely brilliant.

The book has been narrated and performed by the superb Nathaniel Priestley, and has been produced by the excellent team at Troubador Publishing.

I have been happy to have been allowed a lot of input to the process of producing the audiobook, including ensuring character and place pronunciations are correct, and confirming I was happy with the character voices which Nathaniel has used (which I think are spot on!).

The audiobook will be available through lots of retailers, including Audible, Amazon, Apple, Spotify, YouTube, Storytel, Google Play, Kobo, Audiobooks.com and Barnes & Noble US (plus about 70 others).

I am very excited for this to be available soon for existing fans of ILLBORN, and to hopefully help the series to find some new fans! Is anyone planning to have a listen? Why not add the book on Goodreads?

Hi, today is the release date of Gatebound, Book Three of The Illborn Saga!

I started writing this novel in early 2023, so it is wonderful to finally reach the date of publication.

Thanks to all the ARC readers who have reviewed the book so far. Early reviews and ratings have been very positive.

Gatebound should now be available from most online retailers, in ebook and paperback form, in many countries.

Thanks to everyone who has pre-ordered a copy, and thanks in advance to anyone who purchases or reads a copy in the months ahead. I hope that you will enjoy the continuation of my epic fantasy story.

On 24th February 2025, I am going to be visiting The Broken Binding, to sign books. All of my books can be purchased as signed copies from The Broken Binding, including:

Hi, Happy Christmas and holidays.

I would like to do a quick recap today of the year just gone, and to talk about what the coming year has in store for The Illborn Saga.

Firstly, thanks to everyone who has supported my epic fantasy series this year. Without your reads, reviews, recommendations, ratings and mentions, my self-published novels would struggle to find new readers. I am very grateful for your continuing support.

I didn’t publish any new books this year, but I am delighted that I finished writing Gatebound. Indeed, in the last fortnight, I have signed off on the book’s final typeset file and full cover, and I placed my print order yesterday! That felt like a satisfying way to conclude my year as an author. I genuinely cannot wait for fans of the series to read Gatebound after its publication on 28th February next year (please note that the book can be pre-ordered now).

As I revealed earlier this month, I have also teed up the work for an ILLBORN audiobook to be recorded in early 2025 with a fantastic voice-artist, and I hope this will be released within the first quarter of next year. I also have another exciting ILLBORN announcement coming soon, but I have decided to hold off on revealing that until the New Year.

Once I get into 2025, I am going to start writing book 4 of The Illborn Saga, which will be the concluding instalment of the story. I have been dreaming about writing this denouement of my epic fantasy tale for many years, and I am looking forward to translating scenes which have been in my head for a very long time into words.

Hi, a quick post to announce that Gatebound has now been created as a book on Goodreads, if you would like to add it to your TBR!

As a reminder, the book is being published on 28th February 2025, and is Book Three of The Illborn Saga (which will be a 4-book series).

The Gatebound paperback is also now live for pre-order in various retailers across Europe. I expect the ebook to go live for pre-order in the next few weeks, and the book to be available for pre-order outside of Europe early in 2025.

28th FEBRUARY 2025!

I am beyond excited to share this Book Three of The Illborn Saga (of the planned four book series) with fans of the series. The response which I received from my beta readers was fantastic, and I am feeling proud of the c200k word story which I have created.

I am also pleased to share that there will be a 5-6 page synopsis of the Story So Far at the front of Gatebound, as well as a detailed list of characters from ILLBORN and Aiduel’s Sin. I hope that these will refresh your memory sufficiently such that a full reread of the first two books will not be required (though you are very welcome to do so, if you prefer!).

I have also received the book’s cover artwork, which I think is awesome, and I look forward to sharing this with you (along with the book blurb) later this year.

Hi, I am pleased to reveal today that the title for Book Three of The Illborn Saga is going to be…

GATEBOUND

By way of update, I am delighted to share that I have finished writing and editing the third book (of the four book series) to the stage where I have issued a copy to my tried and trusted group of beta readers this week.

I have asked my beta readers to respond with feedback before the end of August, and I plan to use the month of September to incorporate feedback and to do a final proofread and edit.

I will then submit the novel to the self-publishing process which I use, such that I expect it to be published early in 2025 (I will provide a precise publication date later this year).

I have worked incredibly hard on this novel, and am feeling proud of what I have created. I am excited to receive feedback from my group of beta readers, and am even more excited to share the book with the wider readership of The Illborn Saga.

Gatebound is very similar in length to Aiduel’s Sin (close to 200k words), so will take the full length of The Illborn Saga to c620k words and c2,000 pages!

Thanks to everyone who has supported the series so far, and I hope that you will continue the story by reading Gatebound. If you are new to The Illborn Saga, the next few months will be a great time to venture into ILLBORN (book one) and Aiduel’s Sin (book two), in readiness for the publication of the third book.
