Rawls is the product of a traveling family, who even lived in Italy for 6 years. She loves exploring the unknown, whether it be in a forest, inside a forgotten castle, or within the pages of a book.

She runs on coffee, cuddly cats and the beauty of nature to keep the wheels of her imagination turning as she writes stories that will both entertain and inspire others, giving them worlds they can explore and become lost within.

Admiring artwork, nature, browsing through myths and legends while I take a break from writing feeds my mind's imagination, and praying for guidance on how the story should go. In addition to this, I make time to do the other thing I enjoy as much as writing, which is reading! Reading forces me to leave my stories alone for a while, giving me that much needed break.(less)

Each poem and each short story in this collection has its own inspiration, which I talk about in the preface of my book. Many of the settings were inspired by my time living in Italy and traveling across Europe, settings such as long-forgotten castle ruins, and Medieval, grand cemeteries. One poem is a sad "goodbye" for the day I had to leave and come back to America, leaving the life I once had and people behind. Life in general has also been an inspiration, what I've learned about human nature, and life's emotional and physical struggles. Never to give up, but to persevere.
What has inspired me most, however, is the way in which God has worked in my life. He is the only way I live and thrive, and I hope to share what I have learned of faith and compassion with readers.
I also have a section of difficult riddles for readers. The idea was first inspired when I was young after reading the Hobbit. Golem asked Bilbo a series of riddles, and that grew in me a fascination for them! I started writing my own, and would give them as little presents to my mother every year on her birthday. I placed the best ones in the book, along with a few lovely poems my mother had written.(less)

Frost, Winter's Lonely Guardian by Elizabeth Rawls
"It's safe to say that I'm a fan of E.E. Rawls. I've read and liked two of her other books (Beast of the Night and Portal to Eartha).

I love snow and winter, so the overall concept was appealing to me. I liked Norah and Frost. I'm glad everything work" Read more of this review »

This is a quick, sweet romantic tale for sitting with a cup of tea or cocoa on a chilly day. I'm not as familiar with all the various versions of Jack Frost tales as other lore, but I did enjoy EE Rawls' new spin on it.

"This is a quick, cozy, and fun contemporary fantasy featuring a unique take on Jack Frost. Which I was delighted to see because there are not enough stories out there featuring that mythical personification of winter!

It tells the story of Frost, the " Read more of this review »
