Scratch that- New idea!

Well writing this'll probably change my mind, but now I'm practically certain that I'm going to use my NaNoWriMo time to work on the second part of my envisioned 'Fixing Time' novel.
Now I just need to think of a name for the second part before November so I can fill out my http://www.nanowrimo.org page...

NaNoWriMo

Would you believe it's almost November again?
If you said 'so what?' I'm gonna guess you aren't a writer. November would be National Novel Writing Month. (Don't ask me where they mean by 'national', as far as I can tell writers from any part of the world are invited to write.)
The challenge is to write an entire novel within the month. So,starting midnight Halloween on until the first second of the morning on December first me and thousands of other authors will be frantically writing plenty of words (the goal is 50,000~ something like 1,666 per day) that will hopefully give birth to a real novel.

Now I may have never finished all the writing, editing, tweaking to finish a novel I'm ready to try and publish in just one month before, but both of the stories I've linked here started as my NaNo attempts.
With any luck I'll bring to life what shall become a whole new new novel that I see as fit to publish.

If you wan't to see how well I'm doing, you can come check out my progress here. And if you just wanna put your writing to the test, feel free to come along and set up your NaNoWriMo web page. It's free, it's fun, and it may spur you into writing that book you've always said you will work on 'later.'

NaNo Demon Wins

Although I'd pretty much decided it by Monday, I'm going to now officially declare that I've thrown in the towel on NaNoWriMo this year. I don't think I've written on my story since Friday, and I don't think there's any chance I can bring up the word count fast enough to get 50,000 in November.
This isn't a bad thing, however. I now have the full set of notes to carry on writing a story I really like. Without worrying about my writing speed, I can now pull the story together and let it improve as I consider all of what could possibly happen.
It may even be a good thing, I never finishedThe Speed of Darkness until a good while after NaNoWriMo.

Slacking Off Of NaNoWriMo?

Not exactly...
Ok giving myself less than a month to edit that book I was working on until I'm comfortable with putting it away for awhile wasn't long enough. Close there, looking at what I have left to polish on it, I should be satisfied with my new draft of The Illumination Query in less than 4 days.
And you know, while working on it I came up with the new story to work on for NaNoWriMo. I 'discovered' a good bit of action that occurs in the background of my story that is actually quite important even though I don't directly mention it. You may ask how it can be important if it never even tickled my mind before.
That would be because it doesn't directly involve either one of my story tellers in the book. How I have things written, I don't see any way to squeeze it in. As the story would probably be good to have written down so I can refer to it in the future for Illumination Query/Speed of Darkness sequels I'm going to try putting it together, even if it keeps me writing past November.
