NaNoWriMo
Would you believe it's almost November again?
If you said 'so what?' I'm gonna guess you aren't a writer. November would be National Novel Writing Month. (Don't ask me where they mean by 'national', as far as I can tell writers from any part of the world are invited to write.)
The challenge is to write an entire novel within the month. So,starting midnight Halloween on until the first second of the morning on December first me and thousands of other authors will be frantically writing plenty of words (the goal is 50,000~ something like 1,666 per day) that will hopefully give birth to a real novel.
Now I may have never finished all the writing, editing, tweaking to finish a novel I'm ready to try and publish in just one month before, but both of the stories I've linked here started as my NaNo attempts.
With any luck I'll bring to life what shall become a whole new new novel that I see as fit to publish.
If you wan't to see how well I'm doing, you can come check out my progress here. And if you just wanna put your writing to the test, feel free to come along and set up your NaNoWriMo web page. It's free, it's fun, and it may spur you into writing that book you've always said you will work on 'later.'
