"Free the Chaos" Weekend!

I signed an exclusivity contract with Kindle (as I love their platform and I abso-friggin-love the Kindle Fire!) which allows me to offer my books for free a few times every ninety days.  As I’m working on being on the Nice List (though it is stupid cold in San Diego, maybe the coal would be preferable…lol) I thought I would offer the books free for Solstice-Christmas-Kwanzaa-Hanukkah-blessings and good cheer.  Then again, maybe I’m working at being on the Naughty List, because Loki knows that there is a high probability my books are going to seriously frag-off Republicans, the Vatican, Racists, Specists, Quantum Physicists, people that love sparkly vampires (gack!) and possibly Aliens (book 3…though I think I did a fairly adequate description of what they smelled like.) So, there it is, I am being both Naughty and Nice!  That means I get a present and some coal to warm my house, right?  Though a solar panel or ten would be preferable, I’d hate to think of Santa destroying some beautiful mountain range to get all the coal he is going to need for the Senate alone!  Maybe that’s why the politicians are being such lache-lickers, it’s to trick Santa Clause into using his Elves as free labor to mine coal!  Oh, the Elf-manity! So, I’ll leave you with that thought: When you allow your elected Representative in DC to vote “Aye” on a budget bill that also happens to take away an American citizen’s right to Due Process, you give Elves Black Lung!!!  (for those of you that don’t know what I’m talking about…enjoy!)  http://thncelebrity.info/watch-jon-stewart-shocked-by-controversial-senate-bill/

August 6th & September 11th

These past few weeks have been hard on my heart.  I lost friends on August 6th while they were assisting in the extraction of Army Rangers.  They were Operators that I had once hung out with at our bar in Coronado, Navy Seals that I had laughed with, sang with, and even worked on at my clinic.   My life changed forever on September 11, 2001.  That dark Tuesday eternally imprinted in my mind, when I was a stock broker and the world became a sureal nightmare as I watched friends jump hand in hand 80-some stories up.  Where papers floated like broken butterflies  on a dirt-born breeze as they drifted across a skyline forever altered.   My life changed once again on August 6th, 2011.  I had a premonition and was already heading to our bar when I got the call that Friday night.  We slowly gathered as word spread among the Community, standing silently among those that did not know, who would not know until all of the families had been informed.  Hugs were given and beers were poured and the juke box was taken over by Flogging Molly, The Highwaymen and Five Finger Death Punch.   I stood among them, these amazing men that had taken me into their circle, knowing full well that this CMC's daughter caught bugs and placed them outside instead of hurting them.    JT, one of those that I will not see again this lifetime, he once asked me why I surrounded myself with warriors when I prefered pen to blade and words to weapons.  I remember smiling as I said "You do what you do, so that I can do what I do."   JT understood what I was saying, that there could be no peace-loving hippies, or idealists, or philosophers, or pacifists, or even fat, happy babies if there were not those that were willing to kill to protect them.  Warrior and Healer, Creator and Destroyer, there is a balance that so many seem to forget while they watch their vapid TV shows or rant about a stupid game while total strangers die every day to protect their Freedom.   This Sunday marks ten years since my world, everyones world changed forever, and it's going to keep changing.  Liberty and Freedom are paid for with the blood of those willing to fight for it, and if that is not your path, then do your part by remembering those that have given their lives for you the next time you lift a glass... "A toast to you, my fallen friends,Until We Meet Again.Your picture placed high on the wallof places you have been. The tears we shed are honored, for they fall for nobel menWho lived, and laughed and loved with us,Until We Meet Again."

A new beginning with Tainted Ink Press...

I have recently gone into partnership with a longtime friend and insanely talented artist to create Tainted Ink Press.  "Why" you may ask?  Because when it comes to Raina's world, I'm a total control freak and never want one of my books to become a movie or TV show...though they all seem to be in agreement that their tales would make a great manga...lol.  As you can tell, I'm just a wee bit protective of the creatures that have walked within my dreams for over a decade, but after you read my tales, perhaps you will be protective of them too. Book 2 can currently be found on amazon.com in both paperback and Kindle format.  Book 1 (3rd edition) can be bought on amazon.com as well in Kindle format, and in paperback within the next week or so.  Otherwise it can be purchased via the link for the createspace website on the 'Tales withinTwilight's world' page. As always, Well Met... M~
