Jason R Briggs grew up in Hawke's Bay, on the east coast of New Zealand, but for the last 17 years has divided his time between NZ, Thailand and England.

Which is entirely far too much time spent strapped inside a glorified tin can with wings.

He currently lives in England, in a small village just outside of London, where he spends much of his time grumbling about the weather... the people on the Underground... the distinct lack of anything resembling a proper antipodean lager.

After that you probably want to look at self-learning a library like PyGame (assuming you want to stick with Python). But if you're talking about professional games dev, I guess perhaps branch your learning out into another language as well. You don't say what sort of games dev, so hard to provide guidance, but if you're thinking about modern console or PC games, then you'll need to learn C/C++ (so you'll want to look at some beginners books/guides for C and C++) -- if you're talking about mobile games, iOS would be Objective-C or Swift languages, and Android would be Java. So there's lots of stuff out there about getting started with those...
