Well, I have been busy writing this month and just finished the next book in the Kipnuk the Talking Dog Adventure Series. A Snowy Day is a sweet story for younger children and would make a good bedtime book. In this book, Kipnuk and his friend Shadow set out on an adventure in the snow. Wow, I can't believe it is already mid April! It has been an extremely busy & challenging year for me and Kipnuk. I've often heard the expression, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade," ...but sometimes, that isn't always as easy as it sounds. Anyway, I am finally getting back to writing and trying to make the best of many challenges. :)

If you are reading this and following my blog, I hope that you have enjoyed the books so far! I am planning on finishing two new stories this spring. Well, I just finished book IV of the Kipnuk Adventure Series, Kipnuk Visits Sea Isle - Special Edition. In this book, Kipnuk and his friend Joe the Musher leave New York City and head to Sea Isle to visit Joe's Uncle Jerry. It is Kipnuk's very first time seeing the ocean and he makes some great new friends. Hope you enjoy this book! It is a light read geared towards a young audience. Great as a bedtime book!

Well, there is a new book out and I won't mention the name. It is a cute book & I don't want to take away from the creators of it... But anyway, it was a bit of a let-down for me to see it all over the news and raved over by critics claiming it was the first ever photo-illustrated children's book based on a real-life pet being kind to other animals. That pretty much sums of my Kipnuk Adventure Series which was started many years ago. In fact, my first stories were started in the mid 90s, the first 2 which are due by the Spring and the Kipnuk Adventure Series which was first published in 2013. Granted, I didn't have the funding those folks apparently had and this really has been a grass roots project where I have done everything myself to build the series on a hope and a prayer, so it isn't surprising. It is however disappointing as an artist to do something first and see someone come in later who has more financial backing get the credit. Oh well, back to the drawing board..

Love is a great gift, cherish it, share it and make this world a better place with the love that you have to give.

Dear Friends-
I haven't been active on my Blog in quite a while. It's kindof been a challenging year. Anyway, I have some very sad news. My beloved malamute Kipnuk sadly passed away on Monday. It has been devastating to me. He was the love of my life, my ray of sunshine, my everything. I wrote books about him because he was so loving, gentle & sweet. I'm heartbroken from losing him. He was 10 3/4yrs old & his Birthday was coming up in May. Anyway, I will probably be sharing some of the special moments I had with him on here. It's been very painful to say the least. I discovered from my Vet visit on Feb 8th that he had cancer in his hip & lung. He was chasing the ball not long before & he declined very suddenly. He passed away in my arms only 10 days later. He will never be forgotten by me. His unconditional love made an everlasting imprint on my heart & life.
