Quantum Physics
I've had some readers PM me with questions about quantum physics so I thought I'd clarify. As you may know, I started writing The Designer Chronicles for my teenage daughter who is an avid reader like most of you. That was 3 years ago, and it was during a time when I was on a quest for knowledge about how beliefs and thoughts affect our future. Being a nurse, I'm very science minded and like to see claims that are science-based. Quantum physics is the science that explains how things that are experienced in our personal life can be traced back to an original source...which is energy (I highly recommend the website below for further information).
It's the strong belief in this theory that inspired me to incorporate the principles of Energy, Frequency, Vibration, and The Law of Attraction in the Designer's story (albeit in sometimes very exaggerated ways to keep it entertaining). I hope it arouses a curiosity in people that have never heard it before so that they are compelled to seek more information on living the quantum way.

Insta-Love
My thoughts on the idea of "Insta-Love":
I believe in it. I don't think it happens often, but I do think it happens. This is based on my interactions with hundreds of elderly couples who have been married 50-60 years. In 25 years of nursing, I've come across many who state that they "knew" within a very short time (weeks to a few months), that their spouse was the right person for them and after five or six decades together, they still act like newlyweds.
I don't believe this kind of love is based on lust or even physical attraction. I think it's much deeper. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but for those of you who have read my books (especially book 2-Designed to Love), you will understand the basis for my ideas.

Designer Babies
With advances in technology, wealthy parents may very well be able to purchase designer traits, creating super enhanced children. In 2000, a monkey named ANDI was genetically modified by adding a Green Fluorescent Protein gene from a jellyfish to his DNA sequence. The result-ANDI (stands for inserted dna backwards). He glowed green just like the jellyfish (true story).
What if DNA from other species could be genetically added to human DNA, not to create flying bird kids, but just to enhance existing physical traits? For example, using the DNA from eagles to enhance eyesight.
