Parable: Nothing, Everything by Shon Mehta (Illustration)

Once upon a time, there was a king. He was a good person, but he had one problem—he felt unhappy all the time. He worried about many things: the future of his children, the safety of his kingdom, and his own health. Because of his nature, the king could never enjoy anything.
One day, the king’s minister told him about a great sage known for helping people with their problems.
Immediately, the king visited the sage’s ashram and shared all his troubles.
“Wise One, help me with my problem. I am never ...

Fable: Aspiration By Shon Mehta (Illustration)
Once a bird came across a tall tree, the tallest he had ever seen. Looking up, he saw that the highest branch of the tree was laden with fruits.
He noticed a lot of birds sitting on the lower branches, squawking continuously, but none on that branch.
"What a bunch of losers! Instead of aiming high and relishing the ripe fruits, these birds are satisfied sitting on the lower branches." the bird thought to himself. The bird soared high, aiming for that branch. But, as he ascended, he was knocked down...

One day, he complained to his father. "Father, my goods are excellent, and the pricing is competitive. But whenever I try to meet new people for business, either they refuse or they don't pay much attention. Because of this, I don't have business connections. What should I do?"
The father was a shrewd man. He looked at his son.

Broken by Shon Mehta (Poem)
Broken

I fell in love with you and gave my heart as a token,
Even though I knew that you were broken.
You drove away friends, estranged from everyone.
I stayed, because being with you was fun.
People warned me, but I ignored their view;
I was sure that my love would make you new.
It took a while, and now the time has spoken,
You remain the same, but now I am broken.

Parable: Mud In The Water (Illustration) by Shon Mehta
A man went to meet a monk.
“I need your help.”“What is it?” the monk asked.“I spent all my life helping others. I tried to do good, as much as I could. But then, just once, I did a bad deed. Now everyone has forgotten my good deeds, and they think that I am a bad person."
The monk thought for a while, and then picked a large vessel and started pouring water in it by using a small mug.
Every time monk poured a mug of clear water in the vessel, he said “See, you did a good deed.”

After ten-fifteen mu...
