Book Giveaway
What a blessing to have Goodreads helping new authors. Can't think of a better way to market than to give my book away to the Goodreads' audience...now, to see if anyone will sign up for the giveaway?

Books Away!
Today I finished sending out all of the books to the winners of my giveaway. 8 of the 20 were out of the country and 12 in the U.S. I hope they will review the book and obviously hope those reviews will be great. Off they go into the universe...see what happens.

New Giveaway in honor of the 4th of July!
If I get depressed about something and start feeling sorry for myself, I always try to just go back and remember that I already won the lottery: I was born in this amazing country. That I was lucky and blessed to have fore-fathers who were brave and courageous and fought for their ideals of what a nation could be. Yes, I know that they are probably turning in their graves to see what our current culture is like, but still...I'm just so lucky (particularly as a woman) to be born in, "the land of the free and the home of the brave!" Play ball!
Anyway, check it out on the 3rd & 4th of July: 4 autographed copies in honor of the 4th of July. And yes, only open to my fellow countrymen for this one. (I would say "countrypeople" but it just reads so awkwardly!) In addition - Free Kindle Download during the Giveaway!

New Giveaway for All or Nothing Day!
Okay, did you know July 26th is designated as, "All or Nothing Day"? I had never heard of this before, but when I read about it, I thought what a great idea. It's the day you are supposed to live like it is your last day on Earth! A great reminder for us all to value this precious life we've been given. I also thought of how the key day in Olive's life where so much happens to her in the book was truly Olive's "All or Nothing Day"! So, I decided to do another Giveaway - you know I'm trying to push my beautifully, ugly princess out into the world! So, 26 books will go out to the Winners of the "All or Nothing Day" Giveaway. Perhaps one of them, or you beloved reader, will be key in her deliverance into this lovely, harsh, tormenting, redeeming world of ours....

Giveaway Dedicated to my Fantatic Readers!
I've just posted what is probably my last Giveaway for my book, The Ugly Princess, and I have dedicated it to my fabulous, wonderful, amazing readers! They have given me such wonderful support and hope for my book that just maybe, Olive will find her place in the world. My goal was to obtain 100 reviews/ratings of my book and I am now at 111 reviews. Thank you! And thank you for your wonderful words and love of Olive, our beautifully, ugly Princess! I was rather terrified to have people start reading my book as I was so worried you wouldn't like it and/or think it was just awful. Instead, I received so many words of praise and thanks for Olive. Thank you for welcoming her into the world!

New Giveaway
Hello fabulous readers,
I hope you are all happy and well and not getting rained on! Living here in the desert, I just wish we could get some of that rain and not have the terrible flooding that is going on in parts of the rest of the country, particularly Texas.
Anyway, Amazon has started a new Giveaway Promotion Program and it's really fun! Try it out:

I hope you'll take a look at my Facebook page: The Ugly Princess: the Legend of the Winnowwood. I've started posting a lot of fun stuff to look at and this Friday & Saturday I'll be doing a giveaway for free kindle copies of the book. I know most of you have read it, but maybe a friend might want a copy for free?
Thanks for your help and support. It is much appreciated!

The Beginning...
So, my first step into the world of "authors" and I am intimidated. Will anyone like my book? Will people be mean and horrible and tear it apart? I've always considered books some of the best friends
So, my first step into the world of "authors" and I am intimidated. Will anyone like my book? Will people be mean and horrible and tear it apart? I've always considered books some of the best friends I ever had, especially when I was a young girl. They were the best escape, the most fun and amazing. I hope somehow my little book finds friends in this world. We shall see. I have so much to learn, but know it will be an adventure.
