Usage, Typos and Errors - Oh MY!

So, as a first-time author, it is terrifying to send your book out into the world, constantly fearing that your audience will think you an incredible idiot, who bored them to tears. Happily, so far (fingers crossed), most of you love my dear little Olive. Yes, there are typos, errors in usage, etc., but don't worry, dear reader, one day you will love them. There are only about 150 copies of my 1st edition and the second edition, sans most of the errors (we hope), will be out in the next month or two; so you will have an original that certainly does possess the aforementioned typos and errors and is a first edition. Let's be optimistic...the higher the sales, the better for you :-)

And yes, I did have 3 different friends help me edit my book. They did warn me that they kept getting lost in the story and forgot about the editing...I suppose that's actually a compliment. Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the lovely reviews, they are wonderful.

Need Your Help? If you love Olive...

I'm one of those people who rarely ask for help when they need it. Perhaps you are as well, it's a fairly common trait it seems. But, I'm going to ask for help and go against my nature because I really believe in Olive and want her to find an audience. I'm getting so many amazing reviews of my book (thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear readers!) but I'm still not selling any books. If you belong to a readers group, would you please-please-please consider nominating The Ugly Princess as one of your group reads? It would help increase Olive's exposure and just might help get her story out in the world. Thanks so much!

Giveaway Dedicated to my Fantatic Readers!

I've just posted what is probably my last Giveaway for my book, The Ugly Princess, and I have dedicated it to my fabulous, wonderful, amazing readers! They have given me such wonderful support and hope for my book that just maybe, Olive will find her place in the world. My goal was to obtain 100 reviews/ratings of my book and I am now at 111 reviews. Thank you! And thank you for your wonderful words and love of Olive, our beautifully, ugly Princess! I was rather terrified to have people start reading my book as I was so worried you wouldn't like it and/or think it was just awful. Instead, I received so many words of praise and thanks for Olive. Thank you for welcoming her into the world!

Please Vote on Listopia!

Hello dear Readers,

If you have the chance, please add your votes to the Listopia lists (listed on my page) if you love The Ugly Princess! Or you can start a new one :-) I need your help in increasing the visibility of the book to other readers. If any of you have any ideas on how to better promote the book on the Goodreads website, I'd be ever grateful for your assistance. I'm so thankful to Stacey for setting up my interview on her friend's radio show. I know it will only be with the help of my fans that will expand Olive's readership. Thank you for your consideration and help!

Henderson
