She grew up in Swindon, Wiltshire and also lived in Northern California. She studied History of Art at Bristol University and the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.

Gilly lives in Bristol, UK with her family and writes full time. She’s currently working on her seventh novel.

I am reading "What She Knew" and have come across something I wanted to ask you about. On page 238, Rachel goes into Ben's room ... "I sank onto the beanbag on the floor of his room..." Then on page 239... "I got out of Ben's bed..." Is this simply an error in proof reading or there to confuse the reader as to Rachel's state of mind?

BOOKS IN TRANSLATION

I'm looking for recommendations for translated books! I've just discovered Polish writer Olga Tokarczuk and been wowed by her books. They're not always an easy read, but a very rewarding one, and I wonder what else I might be missing. Any recommendations, anyone? I'd love to hear them.
