In addition to that, I'm publishing a fantasy work on Jukepop (chapter by chapter), called The Serpent's Flask (https://www.jukepop.com/home/read).

“Melody exploded. "THIS ISN'T LIKE GETTING A FISH TO SEE IF I COULD BE RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH FOR A PUPPY!" She took a deep breath, calmed herself and lowered her voice. She then repeated the statement as if doing so removed the stink of the outburst.

"I'm well aware of that," said Lonnie. "And not to poke it with a stick, but you don't see any puppies sniffing around that empty fish bowl, do you?”
B.M.B. Johnson, Melody Jackson v. the Woman in White

“Melody began to mumble incomprehensibly under her breath as she worked frantically on securing her most important papers into bankers boxes.
Her father stomped into her room, eating a banana.
Melody looked up at him with a sweaty and nauseated look on her face. “What are you tramping around so heavily about?” she asked him.
Bernie finished the last of the banana, and then held the peel in his hand as though it were a washcloth he had just found on the floor of a gym locker room.
Melody pointed to her trashcan with her eyes.
“I make an insane amount of noise when I approach you, because you once yelled at me claiming that I was 'sneaking up on you',” Bernie replied, using finger quotes on the last phrase. “That kind of treatment stays with a guy.”
Melody shook her head. Her father knew how much she hated finger quotes. Why he insisted on using them was beyond her. “I was five at the time”, she said.
“Ah,” Bernie said, with a knowing grin on his face. “The angry period.”

“I'm going to let that slide because you seemed to have been in the middle of being eaten by a monster.” He was clutching his midsection as if from pain, the squashed remnants of a soft brown cookie squeezing between his fingers as though dough from a pasta machine.”
BMB Johnson, Melody Jackson v. the Hound from Hell

“I think you should be a child for as long as you can. I have been successful for 74 years being able to do that.”
Bob Newhart

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.”
Jim Henson

Shadow Girl Hiya, hon!!
Thanks for the invite, and I joined "New Author Review Exchange", but... I'm not an author. (yet, maybe, ever, idk)
Is that OK?
I can be the resident Horror Hound, and maybe in exchange for reviews, authors could share my blog post of their review? Pimpin' ain't easy - I know ;)

Martha Perez Happy to meet you B.M.B.
Best Wishes

Angela Hausman Thanks for connecting with me. Would you be interested in being a Beta reader for my book "Buried Ladies"? It's a novel of murder, mystery, and the dark web. Happy to send you a pdf for review.

Avaminn F'nett Thanks for the invite to your club, but I must decline, since I believe it is for indie authors who write YA. I'm not a YA author, and I don't plan on publishing indie.
