(Word) Hindi poem

In Silence With Dad (Father's Day Poem)
I may not remember how many times you cradled me
But, I remember you when you hugged me
That warmth has no expiry
It has a lifetime memory
I may not remember you teaching me math
But, definitely remember you showing me the right path
This was your way
Always, wanted me to find my way
I may not remember tears in your eyes
But, I felt trembling voice in your goodbyes
It may be your strength
But, it blended in our wavelength
When I faced difficulty in dealing with mother
You rescued me by saying – don’t even bother
It is a part of growing up
You are not at blowing it up
I was struggling for my independence
Your reassuring voice gave me acceptance
It was that assurance
For my dependence
The silence grew longer and longer
As our differences grew smaller and smaller
You blessed me, I loved you
In those moments of blue

Poem inspired by Second Spring

Poems inspired by Second Spring
लमहों की दास्तानें बयान-ए-नाज हैं हमारी;
ना जाने कब मेरे सासों को तेरें सासों की पहचान मिलें;
तु है तो मैं हु, तेरे बिन कयु नही हुँ मैं कुछ भी कहीं पें;

10 quotes from Second Spring
Quotes from my novel - Second Spring
1.
“A relationship that is not actively nurtured dies out eventually, I told myself. Or does it?”
2.
“Well, we actually never went around. We worked together, struggled through the corporate maze, shared our dreams, and, somewhere along the way, we came closer to each other. At the end, we touched each other’s heart. The impact was profound, much more than I thought it was initially.”
3.
“Loving someone selflessly would mean sharing their happiness whether you are part of that happiness or not.”
4.
“Our way of life decrees that everyone is born with a pre-determined destiny. With good karma, one can try to make the most of one’s circumstances. But that’s all. There is a lot that is beyond the power of mere humans, ; the future unfolds the way it is meant to. Everyone acts the way they are meant to and lives as they are meant to, ; not a moment more, not a moment less. Each person that you meet has a role to play and nothing can alter that. The relationship they share with you, the duration of their presence in your life, all of it is ordained”
5.
“If you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt. Once we cross the deepest part of hurt, it doesn’t hurt anymore. . You become part of the eternal journey of love commences again”
6.
It was the beginning of spring. The weather had started to get warmer and I could see the changes in the greenery around our housing society along with nature’s bright, vivid colors on my regular office route. The fresh green leaves and colorful flowers that surrounded me had acquired a soft, joyful hue. It was as if they were hinting at a new phase in my life in all their exuberant glory. My morning walks were getting warmer, but not unpleasantly so.
7.
I just hated her being able to read my mind with such ease. She knew I could read hers as well.
8.
But someone as lovely as you, surely you have a man in your life. Why am I hoping against hope that you don’t? That I would be the one to love and cherish you the way you deserve?
9.
When all the illusion breaks down, the turmoil created starts leading to a path of pursuit of the ‘self.’
10.
So, why me? What is it that women want, really? What makes them tick? Well, never mind. Greater minds than mine have pondered the question and drawn a blank.

A lovely review by Nandita
Dear Ms. Jane,
First, I applaud you for the topics you have taken up of present days world & its intricacies, i.e. Single Mother, Confident ,smart, helpful, hardworking but Lady Boss and the traditional values (on (love)marriages/ age of the spouse/responsibility of grown up children towards the family); which has Lost its way like Chinese whisper in the long journey but are chanted as early morning hymns which we Indians believe, these ‘Pratha’ rituals have connectivity with the Super Power. And Avantika has dealt with them all so well.
Second, applaud is for the characters made by you or are coming from the far off existence, all are strong. Infact the grayish character Shreya has shown her strength towards her exit; Except Rohan. He, knowing his affection towards Avantika and her past hurt; his own background and the planning towards his future in his family, takes such a step in Delhi, which becomes more weaker with the real introduction of ’Rhea’.
Third, Every character’s decision is based on the people around they love/care or are the support system, except Avantika . The three characters which are most effected in the course of novel are Shreya; who decides on her parents and Ady’s will Rohan; goes with his parents and the societ’s will, but Avantika waits for her son Aarav to grow to such an understanding to appritiate her mothers decision. She doesn’t pay heed to his choice which he made from her own sleep calls. So, I would say her decision was more practical than spiritual.
Avantika is progressive, practical, fun loving, and determined person, with calculative brains. I really got involved with her and emotions
Regards,
Nandita
N.P.: I read the book twice first time I moved with flow and obviously my heart squeezed for Avantika and on second go I emerged with many enquiries.
